CORDURA®
The "original" CORDURA®, this yarn is still the standard for toughness, abrasion and scuff resistance, and puncture and tear resistance. It outperforms standard nylons, cotton, polypropylene, vinyl and leather by factors up to 10!  CORDURA® nylon in 1000-denier combines the toughness and durability of CORDURA® with a soft hand. The combination has made it one of the most popular choices of bag & pack manufacturers.
PACKCLOTH
This is the "elephant hide" of the outdoor fabrics. Created from 400 denier nylon yarns, this fabric is as tough as leather or vinyl, or any other fabrics on the market and yet is still light weight. It also makes the toughest bags where extra weight is less important than superior toughness. This fabric is permanently sealed with a finish offering superior water repellency under all weather conditions that will not crack, blister or peel.
HOPSACK
The hopsack weave is simply a plain weave doubled; i.e. the yarns interlace in pairs. This gives a coarser grain of appearance than plain weave but a softer fabric, because the interlacings are not as tight as plain weave. Originally hopsack was a coarse double yarn sacking, made from jute or hemp. Now the name is given to a plain-weave suiting weight cloth made by using two or more yarns in each direction. May be made from any natural or synthetic fiber, but if synthetic, the fibers are usually bulked to produce the traditional cloth.
